Lucid Landscapes, semi-abstract adventures

This series was born 12 years ago when I was snowbound in the Arizona mountains.   Tired of painting snow scenes and using cool colors, I decided to start painting out of my head.   This was an AHA! moment for me as an artist.  Since that time I paint only from my head using my memories and impressions as subject matter.   This series is great fun and I return to it over and over again.   Take that moment in time and tell a story using line, color, shape, value and texture and the story is finished.  This category now has a subcategory  titled, Tropical Lucid Landscapes.   Palm trees, beautiful water, birds flowers and a warm tropical breeze always comes to mind when I am working on this sub-series.  Click to view larger version, back to return
