Lucid Landscapes ©, semi-abstract adventures

I started painting this series 12 years ago when I was snowbound in the Arizona mountains.   Tired of painting snow scenes and using cool colors, I decided to start painting out of my head.   This was an AHA! moment for me as an artist.  Since that time many of my paintings come from my head using my memories and impressions as subject matter.   This series is great fun and I return to it over and over again.  After looking at several pieces, my son came up with the series handle, Lucid Landscapes©  Taking  a moment in time, telling a story using line, color, shape, value and texture makes for a fun painting adventure.
